Cottage on the Lake - Oil Painting

About the piece

This was a plein air painting session in Sturgeon Bay Provincial Park, where I was camping and got to paint on the beach. Across the beach, there was a cute, little cottage tucked away in the woods, right on the shore. I thought I just had to paint it. It was an overcast day, not gloomy, but cozy and just right for the tiny home to 'pop'. I hope you like it!

About the piece

I love the cozy, peaceful vibes little homes in the woods give off. This is a little cottage I took a photo of while camping in Sturgeon Bay, Ontario. It reminded me of how powerful nature can be in resetting your mind and body. I love the country side and how it can transform your mood. Hope you like it!
